Its now ours, so let develop it!
and i quote : "The land is ours. It's not European and we have taken it, we have given it to the rightful people... Those of white extraction who happen to be in the country and are farming are welcome to do so, but they must do so on the basis of equality." spoken by the First Secretary of ZanuPF, Commander in Chief, Your Excellency President R.G. Mugabe.
The first Chimurenga was fought and lost but the second Chimurenga was fought and won but only in principle. The third Chimurenga was fought but this time the victory was ours for real. Ladies and Gentlemen I speak today NOT on a political affiliation but rather on a constructive gesture.
The land reform act was drafted, acted and passed. Land was distributed and interested parties got a piece. My challenge today goes out to all of you how got a piece of land and I say to you, the power is now in your hands lets make a difference with what we have been given.
The major challenge with most of us who got pieces of land is vacillation. The battle is flanked by city live and country style. So I pose one question to all of you how are still undecided, have you have seen a single person in Zimbabwe who has bought a plane with his/her office salary? Sure the same question can not be asked about farm boys. There are just to many to count!
So we my want to blame it back on the authorities that gave us the land and say they are not providing us with the resources. Come on guys lets be a little serious about this. When the white boys were doing farming did you ever hear that they are queuing up for seed or fertilizer? Well maybe they did, but but we never had them cry foul when the were not supplied with any.
All we need to make sure the efforts of the great revolutionist don't go to a waste is simply sharing ideas. The truth is what we think we know it, but truth is we don't. There is nothing more powerful than idea sharing! There are no bad ideas, they are just good ideas executed badly. What does it matter if the whole area is doing the same project as you are? Are you going to be able to feed the whole nation by yourself? What more the region? Wont even go further. So in as much as the one eyed man is the king among the blind, do you honestly want to close one eye and become a one eyed man when you can be better with two. I tell you this, you are better off doing the same project as the entire neighborhood because a problem solved by many heads has a quicker resolution to a problem solved by one head.
My word to you brothers and sisters is this. Lets dream the wildest dreams we can, build visions from your dreams and develop them in ideas. Bring them up together is on big society and we farm success in our nation. We can do it ladies and gentlemen. Once again there is no such thing as a bad idea, its just a good idea executed badly!
